was a huge sensation. For more than three decades, VoxAmaDeus has presented to the Philadelphia region annual performances of Handel’s masterpiece, now a Christmas season tradition. Remaining true to Handel’s vision, this is the complete work performed on original Baroque instruments. But Maestro Radu makes a few changes each time, so no two performances are ever quite the same. This will be the 2025 edition! Wayne Presbyterian Church invites the community to a special “Blue Christmas” service on Sunday, December 21 at 4:30 p.m. in the church chapel. This quiet, contemplative worship service is designed especially for those who find the holiday season difficult.
While Christmas is often portrayed as a time of nonstop joy and celebration, many people experience grief, loneliness, anxiety, family stress, financial worries, or the pain of missing loved ones. If the bright lights and “good cheer” feel out of reach this year, you are not alone—and this service is for you.
The service will balance time for quiet individual worship with gentle opportunities to connect with others. Pastors Ryan Balsan and Tim Pretz, along with Director of Music John Grecia, will lead this intimate gathering in the warm setting of the Wayne Presbyterian Chapel.

Join in the joy and celebration of the birth of a child—Emmanuel, God with us—who has come to bring us freedom through hope, peace, and love of all. Celebrate Christmas at St. David's. You and your loved ones are welcomed to any of our five Christmas Eve worship services, all of which will serve the Holy Eucharist (Holy Communion).
3 p.m.*—Chapel &amp; <a href="https://stdavidschurch.org/livestream/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Livestream</a> Holy Eucharist (communion) service with music led by the Primary, Children’s, and Youth Choirs along with Fairmount Brass and timpani.
3 p.m.*—Church&nbsp;(the small, historic building) Holy Eucharist (communion) service with music led by organ and soloist.
6 p.m.*—Chapel Holy Eucharist (communion) service with music led by the Adult Choir along with Fairmount Brass and timpani.
8 p.m.—Church&nbsp;(the small, historic building) Holy Eucharist (communion) service with music led by organ and soloist.
11 p.m.—Chapel &amp; <a href="https://stdavidschurch.org/livestream/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Livestream</a> Holy Eucharist (communion) service with music led by the Adult Choir and harp.
Accessibility Note: Our Chapel facility is ADA compliant with accessible bathrooms, elevators, and multiple handicapped parking spaces available. For those with limited hearing, our Chapel services are t-coil enabled. Speak to an usher for more information.

*Nursery care is available during the services marked with an asterix for children aged 3 months to 5 years old. It will be held in the undercroft, the lower level, of the Chapel building.
