'Exciting Changes' Coming To Dormont's Dor-Stop Under New Owners

The Dormont restaurant that has won national accolades is changing hands. Get the details here.

DORMONT, PA — After more than eight years, the owners of the nationally recognized Dor-Stop on Potomac Avenue have decided to move onto something different. New ownership will take over the restaurant next week.

The announcement was made on the eatery's Facebook page.

"It’s been an adventure and we’ve met so many amazing people," the post stated.

"You have supported us through some very challenging times and we are truly grateful. Shout out to all of our staff over the years for doing what you do. The Dor-Stop will remain The Dor-Stop, just under new ownership."

The Dor-Stop will close on Feb. 12 for the transition and reopen under the new ownership on Feb. 15 at 8 a.m.

According to the post, "The current hours of operation and menu will remain the same, but stay tuned for exciting upcoming changes."

The Dor-Stop's renowned home-style cooking has been featured on the Food Network’s "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives."
