Gallon-Size Bag of Drugs Found on Man Driving Stolen Motorcycle

A Dormont man arrested Tuesday is accused of stealing a motorcycle from Verona, Pa., and was found with plastic bag of drugs.

A Dormont man accused of stealing a motorcycle from Verona, PA was arrested by Pittsburgh police Tuesday night in Brookline.

Pittsburgh police conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Northcrest Drive and Pioneer Avenue in Brookline just after 8 p.m. on Oct. 30. According to the report, it was determined that the motorcycle had been reported stolen out of Verona. Police also seized a gallon-sized resealable plastic bag of marijuana and pills.

The driver, Ashley Stokes, 27, of Dormont, was charged with receiving stolen property, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, and driving without a license.

Stokes currently is being held in Allegheny County Jail.
