DORMONT, PA — Haunted Pittsburgh, formerly known as the Haunted Walking Tours of Pittsburgh, will begin providing the walking tours in Dormont this Halloween season.

Haunted Pittsburgh has been offering popular haunted history tours since 2017. The fun Halloween activity was created by Melanie Luke, owner of the former The Flying Squirrel shop.

Expect the tour in Dormont to follow the pattern of the Carnegie tours: a guided walk with around 10 stops, with true stories of the macabre told by enthusiastic docents. The Carnegie tour also features a cemetery scavenger hunt.

Luke credited the Dormont Historical Society for helping bring the tour to the borough.

“The good folks at the society have been so easy to work with and were able to provide
me with loads of historical news articles as a jumping off point for some morbid events that took place," Luke said.
