Single Bullet, No Weapons Found at KO Middle School

A single bullet was found in a Keystone Oaks hallway Friday morning, but no weapons were found in the school.

A single bullet—but no weapons—was found inside Keystone Oaks Middle School on Friday morning.

According to district information director James Cromie, two middle school students found a single, loose bullet on the floor in the locker area around 7:50 a.m. and reported it to school officials.

The school district enacted its Emergency Action Plan, which calls for students to remain in their classrooms.

Police conducted an extensive search of every student, locker and bag in the middle and high schools and found that no additional bullets or weapons of any kind were present. The regular class schedule resumed at 11 a.m.
