• Random acts of kindness through flowers brighten lives (readingeagle.com) — A Downingtown-based nonprofit, Petals Please, is turning donated wedding and funeral flowers into cheerful arrangements assembled at Downingtown United Methodist Church and delivered to seniors, hospice patients, and others in need. Founder Beth Adams and more than 100 volunteers now serve thousands across the region, inviting local residents, scout troops, and even preschoolers to help decorate recycled containers and spread kindness year-round.

Rich Gray continues his late father’s custom of donating stuffed bears, which began years ago with deliveries to Chester County Hospital when his dad lived in Downingtown.
   

• Bigbie, Turner Named to USAFH U21 Training Camp (cuse.com) — Aubrey Turner, a standout freshman from Downingtown, has been selected for the USA Field Hockey U21 Junior National Camp after a strong first season at Syracuse. Alongside teammate Taylor Bigbie, she’ll train in Charlotte this winter as the squad prepares for major international tournaments in 2026.
