2 Arrested On Felony Theft Charges: Warrington Crime Report
Police in Warrington made arrests for two retail thefts. Another man was cited with a summary charge for suspected marijuana.
WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — The Warrington Township Police Department reported the following incidents and arrests on July 14 and on Aug. 5 and 7:
Shoes, Bedsheets Stolen; Woman Faces Charges
- Police responded to Walmart for the report of a retail theft. Loss prevention related 38-year-old Eisha Dorsey from Philadelphia selected two bedsheets and took them to the return counter while failing to pay for them. Dorsey was given a refund in the form of a $76.26 gift card. Dorsey also proceeded around the store and selected numerous items and concealed it in a bag, police said. Dorsey also selected a pair of shoes and discarded her shoes. Dorsey exited the store, failing to pay for the merchandise. Loss prevention observed Dorsey walk through the parking lot and get onto a SEPTA bus. An officer observed the SEPTA bus in the area of Easton and County Line Roads. The officer stopped the bus and as they approached the bus, Dorsey was exiting. She was placed under arrest and transported to the station. On Aug. 5, Dorsey was processed and arraigned by Judge O’Neill who set bail at $20,000 or 10 percent cash. Dorsey was not able to post bail and was transported to the Bucks County Correctional Facility.

Man Charged In Theft Of Wine And Steaks
- On May 31, police responded to Wegmans for a report of a retail theft that occurred earlier in the day. Loss prevention reported that two men and a woman entered the store. The men placed numerous bottles of wine in a shopping cart, while the woman selected three family packs of steaks. The group combined the items into a basket and exited the store without paying. The total value of stolen merchandise was $459.88. The men were later identified as 51-year-old Nigel Dews of Huntingdon and 57-year-old Dewayne Walter Stevens of Philadelphia, through an officer at Montgomery Township Police. On August 5, Stevens was arrested in Jenkintown and taken to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility. On Aug. 7, Warrington Police transported Stevens to their station, where he was processed and arraigned by Judge Wertman, who set bail at $50,000 unsecured. Stevens was charged with retail theft and receiving stolen property, both third-degree felonies, and was released. Co-conspirator - Nigel Dews - has an active warrant issued for his arrest.

Green Leafy Substance Leads To Summary Charge
- On April 23, officers were in the area of 955 Easton Road for an unrelated narcotic investigation. At that time, they observed a suspicious person, later identified as a 66-year-old man from Warrington, talk to someone through a window on two occasions a short time apart. The man left again and returned a short time later and entered the residence through a rear door and exited a short time later. Officers spoke with the man and asked him if he had any narcotics on him. The man reached into a pocket and retrieved a Ziplock baggie containing a green leafy vegetable substance consistent with the appearance of marijuana. He advised police that he does not have a marijuana card. On July 14, a preliminary hearing was held during which the man pleaded guilty to a summary charge.
