2 Men Charged In Theft Of Luggage, Shoes In Warrington
Police began investigating the incident last summer, identified two suspects, and then secured warrants for their arrest.

WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Two Philadelphia men are facing retail theft charges for stealing merchandise from a store in Warrington last summer.
Carl Speight, 58, and Sterling Warren, 33, were taken into custody and have been charged with retail theft and receiving stolen property, both third degree felonies.
On August 20, 2024, police responded to the TJ Maxx store for the report of a retail theft. The store's loss prevention officer provided police with details and surveillance footage of the incident.

According to police, Speight entered the store and selected a piece of luggage, which he placed in the beauty department. He then selected several pairs of shoes and placed them near the luggage before exiting the store without making any purchases.
A short time later, police said Warren entered the store. Warren concealed the previously selected shoes inside the luggage and then exited the store without paying for the merchandise, police said. The total loss to TJ Maxx was reported to be $422.89.

Following the investigation, warrants were issued for both men on charges related to retail theft.
On September 5, Warren was located sleeping inside a vehicle in Warminster. He was taken into custody without incident. Warren was arraigned by Judge Wertman, who set bail at $50,000 or 10 percent cash. He was subsequently transported to the Bucks County Correctional Facility.
On March 30, Speight was arrested in Upper Marion on unrelated charges. He was transported to Montgomery County Correctional Facility.
On April 1, Speight was arraigned by Judge Wertman who set bail at $25,000 of 10 percent cash. Speight was unable to post bail and remains in the Montgomery County Correctional Facility.
