BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Two people were shot and killed Saturday at a Bucks County campground. Charges have been filed in connection with the killings, the Bucks County District Attorney announced.
Miles K. Jones, 40, of Philadelphia shot two men around 2 a.m. Saturday following an altercation at Homestead Campgrounds in West Rockhill Township, according to Bucks County District Attorney Matthew Weintraub.

Officials said Jones was with a group of 15 people on a weekend camping trip. He and his girlfriend got into an argument, and the woman told Jones to leave the tent they were sharing, according to the District Attorney.
An altercation ensued and Jones flipped the tent. Braxton and Hill came to the woman’s assistance, the District Attorney said.

Jones then went his girlfriend’s car and returned 15 minutes later with a 9mm handgun, which he used in the shooting, authorities said. Officials said between three and six shots were fired during the incident.

Jones has been charged with criminal homicide, possession of an instrument of crime, and recklessly endangering another person.
He was taken to the Bucks County Correctional Facility, where he was held without bail.
A preliminary hearing is tentatively set for Oct. 31.
