The calendar is packed with holiday events as the countdown begins to Hanukkah and Christmas.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — As November comes to an end and December begins, the calendar is brimming with ways to celebrate the holiday season.

A farm in Lower Makefield is holding a holiday preview party on Saturday as Santa trades his sleigh for a tractor.

And not far away in Bristol Borough, the town will be lighting its tree Friday night followed with a festive Christmas Parade on Sunday.

Here are 5 fun things to do this weekend in Bucks County:

Farm Opens Season With Holiday Kick-Off Party

At Charlann Farms in Lower Makefield, Santa will trade his sleigh for a farm tractor. His arrival will highlight the farm's holiday kickoff party on Saturday, Nov. 29 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 586 Stony Hill Road in Lower Makefield. The day will include the farm's popular Jump Pad, holiday-themed games, pony rides, Christmas tree shopping, face painting and more. Santa is scheduled to arrive by tractor around 12:30 p.m. and will be available for photos. Broad Street Brewing will be on site with adult beverages and Rooster & the Chick Food truck will be serving food. While the event is free, some activities will have a small fee.

Bristol Welcomes Season With Tree Lighting, Parade

Bristol Borough will usher in the holiday season on Thanksgiving weekend with an Old Fashioned Tree Lighting and the town's annual Christmas Parade. The celebration begins on Friday, Nov. 28, at Mill and Radcliffe with a Christmas Village and festivities starting at 6 p.m. followed by an Old-Fashioned Tree Lighting at 7:10 p.m. After the tree lighting, Santa will be at the Business Club at 400 Mill Street. The festivities continue on Small Business Saturday, Nov. 29 when the town's annual Christmas Parade steps off at 1 p.m.

VIA Holding Holiday Flea Market In Doylestown

The Village Improvement Association of Doylestown (VIA) will be holding a two-day Happy Holidays Flea Market on Friday, Nov. 28, and Saturday, Nov. 29 at the James-Lorah Auditorium, 132 North Main Street in Doylestown. Coinciding with the Doylestown Tree Lighting on Friday, the flea market will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday and from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday. Proceeds will benefit the VIA’s mission to enhance the health and well-being of Central Bucks County and surrounding communities.

Rainbow Girls Serving Breakfast With Santa

The public is invited to sit down to Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, Nov. 29, at the Lower Bucks Masonic Lodge, Edgewood and Heacock Roads, Lower Makefield. The beloved family tradition, presented by the Morrisville Rainbow Girls, will benefit Masonic charities. Santa will be there, greeting guests and posing for photos. Members of Newtown Lodge No. 427 will be flipping flapjacks and serving breakfast beginning at 8:30 and continuing until 10:30 a.m.

Roxey Ballet Bringing 'The Nutcracker' To The Stage

Roxey Ballet continues a beloved holiday tradition with five performances of Tchaikovsky's "The Nutcracker" from Nov. 29 through Dec. 7 at Villa Victoria Theater in Ewing, New Jersey, just across the river from Bucks County. The production is known as the most fun-filled and accessible children’s show in the region.
