BUCKS COUNTY, PA — With mom's big day coming up on Sunday, restaurants throughout the county will be bustling. Even Parx Casino is getting into the act, offering its first-ever Mother's Day Brunch.

If you're looking for other interesting - and fun - things to do this weekend, here are a few to check out as you enjoy a spectacular spring weekend with sunny skies and temperatures in the mid-70s.

Hidden Trail Farm Open For Designer House Tours

The public has a rare opportunity this spring to visit a 14-acre Bucks County farm, including its 5,000 square foot farmhouse dating to 1721 and a custom-designed chalet built in 1992.This year's Bucks County Designer House and Gardens - Hidden Trail Farm on Almshouse Road in Northampton Township - is open for public tours through May 25 with proceeds benefiting the Doylestown Health Foundation and the charitable missions of the Village Improvement Association.

Mother's Day Celebration At Parx Casino

Parx Casino is launching its Sunday Socials along with a slate of concerts and events for the rest of the spring and early summer. The Street Road casino has announced a brand new line-up of programs, events, themed brunches, and concerts, organizers said. For Mother's Day, Parx will host its first-ever Mother's Day Brunch with two seatings, including a full brunch buffet, a drink for mom included, and live entertainment for each brunch for the Billy Joel lovers out there.

Fire Company Carnival In Washington Crossing

The Upper Makefield Fire Company Carnival continues nightly through Saturday, May 10 at Washington Crossing Historic Park. The fun awaits at the soccer fields at 1112 River Road. Enter at the flag pole entrance to the park on River Road (Route 32) across from the Washington Crossing Park Visitors Center. Jim Houghton Enterprises is back each evening from 6 to 10 p.m. with plenty of rides for kids, families and thrill seekers; lots of fun and games; and tons of carnival food.

Armed Forces Muster To Honor Nation's Female Heroes

The 5th Annual Armed Forces Muster this weekend in Bristol Township will focus on the contributions of the nation’s female heroes. Join Salute2Service and the Bucks County Housing Group will celebrate the muster from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (rain or shine) at the Bristol Township Municipal Grounds and Amphitheater. The day will be filled with activities for military veterans, their families, and all members of the community.

'Down North Pizza' Owner Bringing Cookbook Tour To Bucks

Muhammad Abdul-Hadi, the owner of "Down North Pizza," a Philadelphia-based pizza shop committed to reducing recidivism, will be in New Hope on Saturday, May 10 to sign copies of his new cookbook, "We The Pizza: Slangin' Pies and Savin' Lives." Held in collaboration with Farley’s Bookshop and taking place from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Manoff Market Cidery, guests can enjoy fresh pies from Down North Pizza, local cider, and the opportunity to meet Muhammad Abdul-Hadi, founder of Down North Pizza, along with members of his team. Signed copies of the cookbook will be available for purchase through Farley’s.
