$500K Grant Will Fund New Connector Road At Cross Keys
A half-million dollar state grant will fund a new connector road in the Cross Keys area of Buckingham.

BUCKINGHAM TOWNSHIP, PA —A half-million dollar state grant will fund a new connector road in the Cross Keys area of Buckingham Township, officials announced this week.
Provco Pineville Doylestown was awarded $500,000 for the construction of the connector road, which is part of a series of changes to the area resulting from the construction of a new Wawa. The changes include a connector road linking North Main Street and Old Easton Road.
The grant was one of several awarded throughout Bucks County to go towards projects that promote economic development and improve pedestrian safety, the state said.

Other grant recipients include Dublin Town Center, which was awarded $700,000 for the Dublin Town Center Main Street Traffic, Roadway & Pedestrian Improvements Project. In Newtown Township, $375,000 will go toward a biking and walking trail.
“The funding for these infrastructure projects will advance public safety and drive economic growth,” Sen. Santarsiero said. “As these projects begin to take shape, residents, businesses, and commuters alike will experience the improvements to our thriving community.”
The Multimodal Transportation Fund, established by Act 89 of 2013, funds several types of improvement projects, including roads, walking and biking trails, railways, traffic safety, public transportation, and air transport.
