This weekend is packed with holiday fun from parades and tree lighting ceremonies to house tours and craft shows.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — The first weekend in December is packed with things to do.

From parades and tree lightings to holiday house tours and craft fairs, there is no shortage of ways to experience the season right here in Bucks County.

Santa will be making parade appearances in Yardley, Newtown, and New Hope this weekend. He'll also be appearing at Holly Jolly Weekend at Peddler's Village in Lahaska.

There's even an event for your pets. 'Claws and Paws' will be bringing the 'Howl-idays' to New Hope on Sunday for your favorite four-legged friends.

Holly Jolly Weekend At Peddler's Village

Peddler's Village in Lahaska will celebrate the holiday season with a Holly Jolly Weekend on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 6 and 7 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days. The festive holiday weekend features a Santa parade starting at 1:30 p.m. on both days. There will also be live entertainment and performances, activities, holiday food and drink specials and a gingerbread display. Admission is free. Holiday Tour Takes A Peek Inside 5 Private Homes

On Saturday, Craig and Patti Slavtcheff will open up their home at 205 S. Chancellor Street to the public as part of this year’s Newtown Holiday House Tour. During the tour, visitors will be greeted by friends and family dressed in Victorian garb, who will welcome guests inside the stately Queen Anne for what will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. December Open Houses At Yardley's Old Library

Trains, trees, and treats. The Yardley Historical Association will welcome visitors to its annual holiday open houses during the first three Saturdays in December at the Old Library by Lake Afton. The festivities will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. inside the association’s headquarters located in the heart of Yardley at 46 West Afton Avenue.

Christmas Parade, Tree Lighting Saturday In Yardley

Santa Claus is coming to town as Yardley Borough prepares for its annual Christmas parade and tree lighting on Saturday. The Yardley Olde Fashioned Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting will take place on South Main Street for the parade at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday and in Buttonwood Park for the tree lighting. The event is sponsored by the Yardley Business Association.

Holiday Craft Fair To Feature More Than 20 Vendors

The Churchville Nature Center will hold an indoor Holiday Craft Fair on Sunday, Dec. 7, at the nature center in Northampton Township. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., shoppers are invited to stop in and browse through a diverse array of unique, handcrafted items, including gifts and stocking stuffers for families and friends, event organizers said.

'Claws & Paws' Bringing 'Howlidays' To New Hope

Stella of New Hope is celebrating the howl-idays with the return of its beloved Claus & Paws. On Sunday, Dec. 7, from 12 to 3 p.m., pet owners and lovers are invited to bundle up and bring their furry family members to Stella’s outdoor patio to capture a heartwarming holiday photo with Mr. and Mrs. Claus. The backdrop will feature Stella’s cozy patio fireplace, decked out in festive seasonal décor to create the perfect setting for this year’s keepsake.

Newtown Pulls Out All The Stops For Grand Parade

The Newtown Business Association and businessman Jim Worthington are pulling out all the stops this year to welcome Santa to town on Sunday, Dec. 7. Thanks to the sponsorship of Worthington and the Newtown Athletic Club and numerous other community contributors, this year's Newtown Holiday Parade will be "jam-packed" with community groups, musicians and special guests, all aimed at celebrating the holiday season in a very big way.
