WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — A DUI checkpoint held over the St. Patrick’s Day weekend resulted in nine arrests and the removal of five unsafe drivers from the road, police said.
In addition to promoting public safety and deterring impaired driving, the checkpoint on Route 611 resulted in the following arrests and citations:
- 6 DUI arrests

- 2 underage drinking arrests
- 1 junior driver operating past curfew
The goal of the checkpoint, which was part of a larger statewide initiative, was to increase public awareness about the dangers of impaired driving while keeping the streets safer for everyone.
