5 Fun Things To Do This Weekend In Bucks County

A gingerbread house display, a meander through a castle, and a world premiere holiday show will take place this weekend in Bucks County.

BUCKS COUNTY — As the last weekend of the year unfolds, it's time to kick back and relax and really enjoy the sights and sounds of the season now that the Christmas rush is over.

Tickets are selling fast for the final few shows of "The Nice List," a world premiere taking place at the Bristol Riverside stage. You can also catch the gingerbread house display at Peddler's Village or take a holiday meander - at your own pace - the decorated rooms at the Fonthill Castle in Doylestown.

There are still a few days left to try out the festive drinks at the Miracle at Logan in New Hope. New this year are Candy Cane Lane, Dancing Sugarplums, Blitzen Barrel, and Miracle Mouse, just to name a few.

'The Nice List' On Stage At Bristol Riverside

Tickets are going fast for the world premiere of "The Nice List" on stage through Dec. 28 at the Bristol Riverside Theater on Radcliffe Street in Bristol Borough. Full of festive songs and holiday cheer, The Nice List is a heartwarming musical adventure the whole family will love. When Santa announces he has to leave the North Pole for an important trip, he puts two elves in charge of the all-important Nice List! Excited to show they can handle the job, the elves get to work but soon realize they’re in “over their candy canes.” Show time is 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 26, and Saturday, Dec. 27, and 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 27. Gingerbread Display And A Million Lights

The Gingerbread Competition & Display - a tradition since 1984 - continues through January 18 at Peddler’s Village in Lahaska. The display is a feast for the eyes, featuring more than 100 creative and whimsical entries crafted by the public in different categories. Admission is free. The gingerbread entries will be on exhibit through Jan. 17 in the Visitor & Event Center. The show can be seen Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. through Dec. 30. Hours are 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on New Year's Eve and from 12 to 5:30 p.m. on New Year's Day. After viewing the display, take some time to stroll through the village's one million lights. During weeknights, Enchanted Evenings offer visitors an opportunity to enjoy the lights during less crowded times. The village is also offering a village-wide happy hour from 4 to 6 p.m.

Explore Fonthill On A Holiday Lights Meander

The public is invited to tour Fonthill Castle in Doylestown at their own pace during Holiday Lights Meander Days from now through Dec. 31. Knowledgeable tour guides will be available along the castle’s holiday tree route to answer questions and make this a seasonal experience to remember for the whole family. Time slots run every 10 minutes (each slot is 45 minutes long). The cost is $25 for adults, $20 for members, $10 for youth ages 6 to 17 and $5 for children ages five and under. Click here for more information and to reserve tickets. Built between 1908-1912, Fonthill Castle was the home of Henry Chapman Mercer (1856-1930). Archaeologist, anthropologist, ceramicist, scholar and antiquarian, Mercer built Fonthill Castle both as his home and as a showplace for his collection of tiles and prints.

Sesame Place Celebrating Kawanzaa, New Year's Eve

Sesame Place in Middletown Township (Langhorne) continues its "Very Furry Christmas" with a Kawanzaa observance from Dec. 26 to Jan. 1. Each night of Kawanzaa, guests are invited to join their favorite furry friends for Sesame Place’s Kwanzaa Celebration, including a Kinara Lighting Ceremony and a Kwanzaa storytime experience. Next up will be New Year's Eve Fireworks. Sesame Place Philadelphia will ring in 2026 with its dazzling “C … is for Celebrate!” For an extra special treat, guests can celebrate at The Count’s Countdown to New Year’s Celebration Dine at Dine with Elmo & Friends, available from Dec. 26 through Jan. 4.

Experience 'Miracle At The Logan' In New Hope

Miracle at Logan, a holiday-themed pop-up cocktail bar concept, is open through New Year's Day at the Logan Inn at South Main and Ferry in New Hope. Featuring festive original cocktails, over-the-top decorations, and exciting new mug designs to bring the holiday season to life, this year is one of the best yet, said organizers. Miracle at Logan will feature a holiday oasis with kitschy, festive décor and a themed cocktail menu with fan favorites.
