- At 7:20 a.m., police were dispatched to Wegmans for a report of a partially clothed female in a wheelchair behaving erratically in the vestibule area of the store. Upon arrival, officers observed a woman matching the description, later identified as Shiree Chante Love, exiting the store. Wegmans employees told police that Love attempted to leave the premises with $47.26 worth of merchandise without paying. When approached by store personnel, Love became confrontational, yelling and throwing produce at staff. Officers said when they attempted to engage Love, she responded with profanity and aggressive behavior. Police said Love moved through the parking lot discarding trash and refusing verbal commands. When officers attempted to stop her, police said Love struck at their hands and subsequently spit on one officer. Love was found to be in possession of narcotic paraphernalia and was taken into custody without further incident and transported to the Bucks County Sheriff’s Department for processing. Love was arraigned by Judge Wertman, who set bail at $50,000 or 10% cash. She was charged with assaulting a law enforcement officer, retail theft, criminal trespass, resisting arrest and scattering trash. A records check revealed five warrants from Bucks County, Montgomery County and Warminster Police. Love was unable to post bail and was remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility.
