Doylestown Bakery Adds Owowcow Hand-Scooped Ice Cream

DOYLESTOWN, PA — Maryanne Pastry Shoppe in Doylestown Borough just got a whole lot sweeter

The shoppe announced this week the addition of Bucks County-made Owowcow ice cream to its mouthwatering offerings.

Located at 10 Atkinson Drive, the pastry shoppe announced the “big news” in a Facebook posting.

“We’re now scooping up 24 flavors of Owowcow ice cream,” the bakery posted. “And guess what? Starting Wednesday, June 4 we're open late 'til 9 p.m. More time for more scoops. Tag your ice cream crew and come taste them all!”

A sampling of the flavors include Lemon Raspberry, Garden Berry, Mango Sorbet, Espresso, Strawberry, Cashew Caramel, Strawberry, Slimers Swirl, I Hate Chocolate, Banana Chocolate Chip, Mocha Chip, Sweet Honey Cream and Mint Chocolate Chip.

A sign on the wall announces that sundaes and shakes will be coming soon. In the meantime, the bakery will be offering a selection of toppings.

Maryanne Pastry Shoppe has been serving the Pennsylvania and New Jersey areas for more than 75 years. They operate two locations - Sea Isle City, N.J., and Doylestown.

Since 2009, Owowcow has been hand-crafting super-premium ice cream from scratch using local organic and natural ingredients that support local agriculture.

Its ice cream cases hold 24 flavors of ice cream, including 12 signature core flavors that the creamery makes year-round at all stores. The other spots are filled with monthly specials and seasonal favorites, along with dairy-free sorbet and vegan ice cream.

Owowcow has locations in Wrightstown, Chalfont, Ottsville, and Easton in Pennsylvania, and Lambertville, New Jersey.
