DOYLESTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — The answer to the question, “What’s going to replace Pizzeria Uno at the Doylestown Pointe Shopping Center?” has been answered.

New York-based JPMorgan Chase is transforming the former pizzeria into a new branch of Chase Bank as part of the bank’s major expansion into Pennsylvania and Bucks County.

The new bank is one of several in various stages of planning and development in Central Bucks County. Among them is a new branch to be built at the site of a car wash at the Logan Square Shopping Center in Solebury Township.

The bank opened its first Bucks County branch in Warrington in 2021 and has since added locations in Bensalem, Doylestown, Feasterville, Morrisville, Richboro, Southampton, Warminster, Warrington, and at Prickett Preserve in Lower Makefield. Another new branch has been approved at the intersection of Levittown Parkway and Bristol Pike in Levittown.

Those on social media voicing disappointment that the former pizzeria in Doylestown won’t be replaced by a new restaurant need only look across Almshouse Road to the Barn Plaza where numerous new eateries are in the planning stages.

In the shorter term, a new Chipotle Mexican Grille and a First Watch breakfast, brunch and lunch place will be opening this year at the former site of Applebee’s.

Looking ahead, the shopping center also has longer term plans to demolish the former Barn Cinema and replace it with additional shops and restaurants, including a major bar and grill, a well known burger establishment, a drive-through coffee shop and a handful of new retail establishments.
