Bedminster Traffic Stop Yields More Than 50 Grams Of Meth

The driver was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute, criminal use of a communication facility, and other charges.

BEDMINSTER, PA — A man is facing drug charges after police said they found more than 50 grams of suspected methamphetamine in his car following a traffic stop.

On Aug. 6, police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for motor vehicle violations in the area of Dublin Pike (Route 313) and Bedminster Road (Route 113). An occupant of the vehicle, Craig A Stettler, was found to have an active arrest warrant and was taken into custody.

The roadside investigation, as well as a subsequent investigation, including search warrants, produced more than 50 grams of suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia inside the car. As a result, an arrest warrant.

On Aug. 14, Stettler was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute, criminal use of a communication facility, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Judge Gambardella set bail at 10 percent of $250,000. Stettler was already incarcerated on another matter.
