Bomb Threat, Weapons Violations: Central Bucks Regional Crime Report

The Central Bucks Regional Police Department reported the following incidents and arrests during February.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — The Central Bucks Regional Police Department reported the following incidents and arrests during the month of February:

Arrests

  • DUI – N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough. On Feb. 4, a 24-year-old New Hope man was charged with DUI following a traffic stop for erratic driving. The driver presented with bloodshot, glassy eyes and an odor of alcoholic beverage. After failing field sobriety tests, a legal blood draw was obtained at Doylestown Hospital.
  • DUI – Sandy Ridge Road, Doylestown Borough. On Feb. 6, an 18-year-old Doylestown man was charged with DUI following a vehicle crash involving two parked cars in January. The driver presented with bloodshot eyes and an odor of alcoholic beverage. After failing field sobriety tests, a legal blood draw was obtained at Doylestown Hospital.
  • RETAIL THEFT, RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY – Target store at 456 N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough. On Feb. 7, a 33-year-old Doylestown woman was charged with retail theft and receiving stolen property for stealing $262 worth of merchandise on Feb. 5, Feb. 7 and Jan. 26.
  • UNDERAGE DRINKING – 700 E. Butler Avenue (Delaware Valley University), New Britain Borough. On Feb. 7, a 19-year-old Doylestown man was charged with underage drinking following police response for an unwanted person. The man presented with bloodshot, glassy eyes and an odor of alcoholic beverage.
  • DISORDERLY CONDUCT – N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough. On Feb 8, a 22-year-old Richboro man, a 21-year-old Bethlehem man, and a 24-year-old Georgia man were cited for urinating in public during separate incidents. Citations were issued.
  • RETAIL THEFT, RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY – Target store, 456 N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough. On Feb. 11, a 17-year-old juvenile was charged with retail theft and receiving stolen property for stealing $298 worth of merchandise on Feb. 7 and 11. A juvenile allegation was filed.
  • ORDINANCE VIOLATION – 375 W. Court Street (CB West), Doylestown Borough. On Feb. 12, a 17-year-old juvenile was cited for possession of a small amount of marijuana. A citation was filed.
  • BURGLARY, THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING, RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY – W. Ashland Street, Doylestown Borough. On Feb. 12, a 14-year-old juvenile was charged with burglary, theft and receiving stolen merchandise after stealing a motorcycle from a detached garage at a residential property. A juvenile allegation was filed.
  • ORDINANCE VIOLATION – Pawnee Road, New Britain Borough. On Feb. 13, Home Genius Exteriors of Cherry Hill, N.J., a 19-year-old from Allentown and a 28-year-old from Fleetwood were cited for soliciting without a permit.
  • STRANGULATION, SIMPLE ASSAULT, DRUG VIOLATION, HARASSMENT, 625 N. Main Street (Main Street Inn), Doylestown Borough. On Feb. 17, a 32-year-old man was charged following police response to a domestic dispute. The man escalated a verbal argument by striking the victim multiple times in the face, placed his hands tightly around the victim’s neck and threw the victim against a wall. He then struck the victim with a closed fist several more times. The man was taken into custody and arraigned, bail set at 10 percent $50,000 and he was remanded to Bucks County Prison.
  • RISKING CATASTROPHE, TERRORISTIC THREATS, DISORDERLY CONDUCT, 99 Lantern Drive (Army Recruiting Center), Doylestown Borough. On Feb. 20, Jeffrey Edward Fountain, 30, from Harleysville was charged with risking catastrophe, terroristic threats and disorderly conduct following police response to a bomb threat Jan. 27. The area was cleared with no incendiary device found. An arrest warrant was issued for Fountain who was taken into custody on Feb. 20. He was arraigned and bail was set at $50,000 unsecured with conditions.
  • THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING, THEFT OF LEASED PROPERTY, RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY, 196 W. Ashland Street (Coalition to Shelter & Support the Homeless), Doylestown Borough. On Feb. 20, Nicole Buckley Mormello, 50 of Churchville, was charged with the above offenses following her resignation Oct. 25 from the Coalition. Mormello did not return an HP Pavilion laptop, HP Laserjet printer, keys to the facility and stationery despite several attempts at communication.
  • WEAPONS VIOLATIONS, 143 E. Butler Avenue (Bunker Gun Shop II), Chalfont Borough. On Feb. 21, Patrick Michael Donahue, 52, of Philadelphia, was charged with providing false written statement and falsification to authorities to purchase a weapon when prohibited.
  • RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT, DUI (MINOR) AND OTHER CHARGES, Tamenend and Matthews Avenues, New Britain Borough. On Feb. 22, a 20-year-old Doylestown woman was charged following a two-vehicle crash. The driver was transporting a 13-year-old juvenile in the front passenger seat. She presented with an odor of alcoholic beverage. Following field sobriety tests, a legal blood draw was obtained at Doylestown Hospital.
  • AGGRAVATED ASSAULT, TERRORISTIC THREATS, RESIST ARREST AND OTHER CHARGES, 37 N. Main Street (MOMS), Doylestown Borough. On Feb. 22, Carina Elise Rozycki, 24, of New Hope, was charged with the above offenses following police response to a subject who was refusing to leave the establishment. Rozycki ignored officers as she attempted to re-enter the bar. Rozycki was taken into custody for public drunkenness. Police said Rozycki resisted arrest, was non-compliant and combative from the time of being placed in the patrol vehicle through custody at the police station including banging on the cell door, attempting to clog the plumbing, and striking an officer. Rozycki was arraigned, bail was set at 10 percent of $200,000 and she was remanded to Bucks County Prison.
  • DEFIANT TRESPASS, LOITERING/PROWLING, Decatur Street, Doylestown Borough. On Feb. 22, a 46-year-old man, no fixed address, was charged following police response for an unwanted person. The man returned to the residence after being instructed by police not to return during previous incidents. He was taken into custody, arraigned, bail was set at 10 percent $20,000 and he was remanded to Bucks County Prison.
  • RESISTING ARREST, PUBLIC DRUNKENNESS, DISORDERLY CONDUCT, N. Main Street and Veterans Way, Doylestown Borough. On Feb. 25, a 37-year-old man was charged with the above offenses after police responded to a subject walking in the roadway and yelling at vehicles. He presented as under the influence and resisted arrest during police interaction. The man was taken into custody, arraigned, bail was set at 10 percent $5,000, and he was remanded to Bucks County Prison.
  • POSSESSING INSTRUMENTS OF CRIME, OBSTRUCTING ADMINISTRATION OF LAW, IMPERSONATING A PUBLIC SERVANT AND SUMMARY OFFENSES, 10 N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough. On Feb. 26, a 56-year-old man from Pipersville was charged following police response to a reported argument involving a parking space on Feb. 7. The man's vehicle had a cover on the license plate, black film underneath and an FOP emblem covering the PA keystone state emblem on the license plate. The man initially would not provide a driver’s license and was unable to provide insurance or vehicle registration. Police took the man into custody to answer on existing warrants for the same offenses in a different jurisdiction.
  • SIMPLE ASSAULT, HARASSMENT, DISORDERLY CONDUCT, 77 Bristol Road, Chalfont Borough – On Feb. 27, a 24-year-old Camden, New Jersey, woman was charged with the above offenses after police responded to a domestic dispute. Police said the woman escalated a verbal altercation by pulling the victim’s hair and punching the victim in the face causing injury. The woman was taken into custody, arraigned and released on $5,000 bail unsecured.
  • DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE, DRUG VIOLATIONS, E. Butler Avenue, Chalfont Borough – On Feb. 27, a 48-year-old Warminster woman was charged with the above offenses following a traffic stop for not stopping at a red light. The woman presented with an odor of marijuana, was lethargic and told the officer she was smoking marijuana just as she was being pulled over. A subsequent legal blood draw was obtained at Doylestown Hospital.

  • BURGLARY ATTEMPT, 141 E. Butler Avenue, Chalfont Borough. On Feb. 3, unknown person(s) attempted to gain access to an apartment above the Bunker Gun Shop. A metal ladder was found leaning against the outside wall and a glass window had been shattered.
  • MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT, 440 Town Center (Evolve Fitness), New Britain Borough. On Feb. 3, unknown person(s) took auto keys from the victim’s gym bag in the locker room and stole a vehicle parked in the lot.
  • THEFT FROM VEHICLE, 442 N. Main Street (Planet Fitness), Doylestown Borough. On Feb. 6, unknown person(s) stole the victim’s wallet from a parked vehicle and subsequently made fraudulent charges (totaling several thousand dollars) on the victim’s credit cards.
  • THEFT OF BICYCLES, Green Street, Doylestown Borough. On Feb. 12, the theft of two bicycles from a residential garage is being investigated.
  • CRIMINAL MISCHIEF TO AUTO, 10 S. Clinton Street (Landmark Building), Doylestown Borough. On Feb. 19, unknown person(s) slashed the victim’s vehicle tire while parked in the lot.
  • CRIMINAL MISCHIEF TO BUSINESS, 625 N. Main Street (Main Street Inn), Doylestown Borough. On Feb. 21, a hotel room was trashed.
  • THEFT, Spring Lake Drive, New Britain Borough. On Feb. 28, unknown person(s) cut and stole copper cables between Verizon poles.
