Bucks Business, Nonprofits Can Apply For Grants Up To $45K

Eligible businesses in the county can apply fore grants that range from $1,000 to $45,000 as part of an economic recovery program.

NEWTOWN, PA — Bucks County businesses and nonprofits are invited to apply for grants that range from $1,000 to $45,000 as a part of the Bucks Business Recovery Grant program.

The program will disperse grant money to eligible candidates as part of an initiative to help businesses that have suffered from the recent work shortage and other negative economic affects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The funding come from federal dollars that were received through the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act. Bucks County Commissioners were able to collect $5 million in ARP funds for the grant program; this is part of a continuation of Bucks Back to Work program.

“Our Bucks Back to Work program helped over 1,500 small businesses last year, but we know there are others who are still struggling every day,” said County Commissioner Bob Harvie.

“Small business owners are our neighbors, friends and family members who keep our economy strong, which is why we want to keep offering assistance to them as long as we can.”

Businesses that wish to apply for grants can apply online. As of Monday, Nov. 1, the county will cost weekly webinars to help businesses understand what the funding will be used for and how to apply.

The openings began on Friday, Oct. 29, and will continue through Friday, Nov. 19.
