DOYLESTOWN, PA – Gene Epstein loves a challenge…and now he’s challenging the local community to join him in supporting the Bucks County Opportunity Council’s 25th annual Back-to-School Drive.

This year, BCOC has more than 170 students in need on its list. The response has been steady, but the deadline to sponsor a child is quickly approaching and 70 kids still need the financial resources to start the school year prepared and ready to learn.

With only two weeks left in the drive, the Gene and Marlene Epstein Humanitarian Fund has generously agreed to match $100 for every $100 that comes in for the remaining children.

One parent last year explained, “The BCOC Back to School program has been incredibly rewarding. It's heartwarming to see all the children, including my own, receiving the support they need to start the school year off right. This program has significantly reduced the stress for us struggling parents during this time of year, ensuring our kids aren't left behind without the essentials.”
