Central Bucks Math Teacher Receives PA Teacher Of The Year Award

Central Bucks South math teacher Frank Woodring was awarded the Veterans of Foreign Wars Pennsylvania Teacher for the Year award.

WARRINGTON, PA — A math teacher at Central Bucks High School South is being recognized for his outstanding achievements.

Frank Woodring, a U.S. Navy Veteran, was awarded the Veterans of Foreign Wars Pennsylvania Teacher for the Year award, which is given to a teacher who is dedicated to their students and to honoring veterans.

Woodring is the advisor for the Operation Eternal Gratitude club, a military support club at Central Bucks South that sends care packages overseas to deployed troops.

He also helped create the Wall of Honor at Central Bucks South, which recognizes former students who have served in different military roles after graduation.

"Frank Woodring is one of the most caring and gracious humans I have ever worked with as an educator," Pennridge Assistant Principal Scott Hegen posted on Facebook. "CBS is lucky to have such an honorable man working with their students!"
