Central Bucks School Mourning Loss Of 11th Grade Student
The school is providing counseling services to students who need support, the school's principal wrote in a letter to the community.

BUCKINGHAM, PA — The Central Bucks High School East community is in mourning this week following the loss of one of its students.
Principal Chad Watters announced the death of an 11th-grade student at the school in an email sent out to the school community Monday morning. The boy was a junior at the school, where he was considered a valuable member of the community, school leadership said in the email.
"This is difficult news to share and to receive. Anytime we lose a member of our community — no matter how well we knew them — it is painful," Watters wrote.

According to Watters, the school's counseling team is meeting with students who need support. Additionally, school social workers and counseling staff from across the district are on campus to provide support.
The Roxy Therapy Dogs and their handlers will also be on campus during Lunch and Learn as another layer of added support throughout the week.

"As with any loss, there may be questions and a natural curiosity about the circumstances surrounding his death," the principal wrote. The principal said there are "many unknowns" and asked the community to "refrain from speculation."
He added, "If we can share additional information at a later time, we will do so thoughtfully and appropriately.
"Please know that our support for students and staff will continue beyond today. We remain committed to walking alongside our community as we grieve and heal together," Watters wrote.
