County Theater To Screen 'Halloween' On Halloween

DOYLESTOWN, PA —If you don't have trick-or-treating plans, there's another truly scary way to celebrate Halloween in Doylestown.

The County Theater will screen the horror classic "Halloween" on Halloween, which is Thursday, Oct. 31.

The 1978 movie "ushered in a new style within the horror genre," the County Theater explains.

The plot follows the now-infamous Michael Myers' escape from a mental institution on Halloween. He returns to his hometown to cause havoc.

The film is written, directed, and scored by John Carpenter. It "is imbued with his signature style and features an unforgettably terrifying soundtrack," the theater's explanation says.

The showing of "Halloween" starts at 7:30 p.m. It runs one hour, 31 minutes.

Tickets are $11.25 for general admission, $6.75 for members, and $9 for seniors and those under 25.

The County Theater is located at 20 E State St, Doylestown.
