Update: Motorcyclist Killed In Buckingham Crash

Police are investigating a fatal collision that occurred on Easton Road in Buckingham Township on Wednesday afternoon.

BUCKINGHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — Police are investigating a fatal traffic crash that occurred on North Easton Road in Buckingham Township on Wednesday afternoon.

Shortly before 12:30 p.m., a motorcyclist was riding north on Easton Road when the driver of a Jaguar SUV entered the roadway, according to township police. Unable to avoid the SUV, the rider collided with the rear driver's side of the Jaguar, police said.

The motorcyclist, identified as 21-year-old Easton man Matthew Hammerstone, was transported to Doylestown Hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to police.

The Bucks County District Attorney's Office and the Buckingham Township Police Department are investigating the cause of the crash. No charges have been filed.
