OTTSVILLE, PA — A new crime drama series with scenes shot in Upper Bucks County, will premiere on Friday, March 14 on Apple TV.

The first two episodes of “Dope Thief,” will air followed by new episodes every Friday through April 25.

The show, based on a book by Dennis Tafoya, tells the story of Ray, a young ex-con and low-level participant in Philadelphia's drug wars, who struggles to improve his life.

Ray and his best friend Manny run a con where they impersonate DEA agents to steal from drug dealers, keeping their targets small to manage retaliation. However, they accidentally hit a six-figure jackpot, attracting the attention of determined individuals who want their money back.

The show stars Brian Tyree Henry and Wagner Moura and is directed by Peter Craig and produced by Ridley Scotthis. The Executive Producer is Brian Tyree Henry.
