Downed Trees, Wires Close Portion Of Point Pleasant Pike

PLUMSTEAD TOWNSHIP, PA — Point Pleasant Pike is closed between Jillian Way and Durham Road Tuesday morning due to downed trees and wires, according to police.

Drivers should avoid the area.

The developments come as heavy storms moved through the region Monday, causing life-threatening flash flooding and downed trees. It wasn't immediately clear if the trees fell as a result of the storm.

On Monday, a tree fell on a car in Bensalem, trapping a person inside.
