Doylestown Borough To Close Streets For Dining, Shopping
Street closures are planned starting June 26. The goal is to give businesses more space for outdoor dining and sales.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — Doylestown Borough is launching a pedestrian area pilot program with the hopes of giving shops and restaurants more area for outdoor dining and sales as they recover from the shock of the coronavirus pandemic.
Street closures are planned starting June 26, when West State Street from Hamilton to Clinton streets will close from 4 p.m. to midnight.
"Locals and visitors can expect to see increased outdoor seating at restaurants, additional outdoor shopping, and the rare experience to walk down historic State Street. Outdoor dining, shopping, and pop-up marketplaces will continue in tandem throughout town with the street closure pilot program," according to information from the borough.

Bucks County is slated to move the green phase of coronavirus mitigation on Friday. During the green phase, restaurants are permitted to open with limited capacity.
