Doylestown Hospital Earns "A Rating" For Hospital Safety
The hospital is the only one in PA to have earned the rating every year since 2016 and among only 59 hospitals nationwide.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — Doylestown Hospital has earned an “A” Hospital Safety Grade for the 17th consecutive time by The Leapfrog Group, a national nonprofit upholding the standard of excellence in patient safety in hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers.
The recognition places Doylestown Hospital among just 30 percent of hospitals nationwide to achieve a 2024 fall "A" rating. In achieving the Leapfrog "A" since 2016, Doylestown Hospital is the only hospital in Pennsylvania to have done so and is among only 59 hospitals nationwide.

We’re so proud to have achieved this rating consistently through 17 cycles, a distinction we alone hold across all of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.”

The Leapfrog Group assigns an “A,” “B,” “C,” “D” or “F” grade to general hospitals nationwide based on more than 30 performance measures reflecting errors, accidents, injuries and infections, as well as the systems hospitals have in place to prevent them.

The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is the only hospital ratings program focused exclusively on preventable medical errors, injuries and infections that can lead to harm or even death. The grading system is peer-reviewed, fully transparent and free to the public. Grades are updated twice annually in the fall and spring.
