Doylestown Set To Welcome Santa With Historic Tree Lighting
For 111 years, Doylestown Borough has been welcoming the season with an old-fashioned tree lighting in the heart of town.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — For the 111th year, Doylestown will gather tonight in the heart of town to officially welcome the holiday season.
A 25-foot-tall Nordmann Fir from Bountiful Acres will take center stage from 5 to 8 p.m. for the town’s annual tree lighting.
This is the eighth year that Bountiful Acres has donated a tree for the more than century-old town tradition, which draws thousands to the heart of town to kick off the holiday season.

Staged by Discover Doylestown and supported by Simply Fresh, the Borough of Doylestown, and the Doylestown Fire Company No. 1, this year’s event will again be emceed by Richard Curtis and will include live seasonal music, a parade ushering Santa into town, and the official lighting of the tree.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will be escorted to the tree lighting with a parade featuring: Heiler Painting, Handy Andy Home DIY & Maintenance, Ascend Dance Center, Bountiful Acres, Nook Nook Creative Village, Central Bucks West Cheerleading, Station 99 - Independent of Doylestown, Moore Family Pressure Washing LLC, Friendship Fire Co., ATS Tree Services, LLC, Moyer & Son Inc., Action Karate Doylestown, Fred Beans Automotive Group, PA Fun Company, Main Street Sport & Social, Doylestown Haunts, School of Rock Doylestown, McCaffrey’s Markets, Main St., Junk Elves LLC, The Rainbow Room and Girl Scout Troop 2573.

Parking Restrictions
Doylestown Borough has announced the following traffic and parking restrictions for the Santa Parade and Tree Lighting ceremony:
- Parking will be prohibited on both sides of State from Pine to Hamilton beginning at 3 p.m.
- Parking will be prohibited on both sides of Main from Court to Oakland beginning at 3 p.m.
- The restrictions will remain in place until the event concludes at about 8:30 p.m.
- All vehicles parked on the route after 3 p.m. on Nov. 29 will be towed at the owner's expense.
- Use caution on West Court from Central Bucks West to the intersection of Court, State and Clinton.
Small Business Saturday
On Saturday, everyone's invited back to downtown Doylestown for a day of shopping and supporting small businesses. Small Business Saturday will include discount offers, unique and one-of-a-kind gifts, a festive holiday atmosphere and personalized service from friendly shop owners. Free parking will be available at the county garages at Broad and Union Streets and at Broad and Court Streets.
Santa Cottage
Santa will be at his house at the Hamilton Lot beginning on Saturday, Nov. 29, and continuing throughout the holiday season. Hours are 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday and on Christmas Eve.
First Ever Ugly Sweater Contest
Doylestown's first-ever ugly sweater walk, organized by Discover Doylestown and Doylestown Borough Parks and Recreation, takes place on Sunday, Dec. 7, beginning at 12 p.m. Wear your ugly sweaters and deck your strollers or wagons for a few laps around Broad Commons Park. Get in character, and secret judges will be checking out all the outfits and strollers. As part of your registration, organizers are asking folks to bring an item to be donated. They will be accepting nonperishable food items, warm coats and mittens, new unwrapped toys, and hygiene products to stuff a Public Works Truck full of donations to take to the New Britain Food Pantry, Bucks County Opportunity Council, and the Code Blue Shelter. Holly Jolly Sip & Stroll
Holly Jolly Sip & Stroll returns to downtown Doylestown in December with a cheerful celebration of local shopping, seasonal sips, and holiday spirit.
