Doylestown Township Parks & Rec To Offer Beginner Karate Sept. 2

DOYLESTOWN, PA—The Doylestown Township Parks & Recreation will offer a new session of beginner karate starting Sept. 2. For kids ages 5 through 12, this virtual program will teach discipline of mind, body and spirit, and will also be a lot of fun!

This program will feature a traditional martial arts curriculum that has been established for over 45 years. With an emphasis on childhood development and goal setting, this program promotes "Discipline of Mind and Body" and the development of a positive winning attitude.

The program is directed by the founder of East Montgomery Martial Arts Academy (located in Horsham), Jonathan Exaros. Classes will be taught by Shannon Lynott who worked at the Goddard School in Doylestown and currently a teacher at Simmons Elementary School in Horsham. She is an instructor at the East Montgomery Martial Arts Academy and has been studying with Exaros since she was a little girl.
