Driver Escapes Injury When Rig Overturns In Plumstead Township

PLUMSTEAD TOWNSHIP, PA — A tractor trailer driver escaped injury when his rig overturned Friday afternoon on the Route 611 Bypass in Plumstead Township.

Engine 20 and Rescue 19 from Plumsteadville responded to the northbound 611 bypass at 2 p.m. The driver was able to self extricate prior to arrival of emergency crews.

The companies secured hazards and remained on scene for approximately 20 minutes while the truck was righted and towed from the scene.
