Elevated Fire Risk Predicted For Wednesday In Bucks Co.
Low relative humidity values, dry conditions, and wind gusts up to 25 mph could support any fires that ignite, weather forecasters say.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — There is an elevated risk for fire spread through early this Wednesday evening, April 30, across most of New Jersey and Southeastern Pennsylvania, according to the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, N.J.
Forecasters are predicting relative humidity values to drop to 15 and 30 percent. They are also predicting northwesterly winds of 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.
“These conditions, along with the continued drying of fine fuels, could support the rapid spread of any fires that ignite, which could quickly become difficult to control,” said the weather service.

Outdoor burning is strongly discouraged, according to the National Weather Service. "Be sure to properly extinguish or dispose of any potential ignition sources, including smoking materials such as cigarette butts."
The winds are forecast to diminish later Wednesday evening and the relative humidity will also increase, easing the fire concern.
