Emergency responders were called to Lenape Middle School Tuesday for a "student in crisis," the district said.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — Emergency responders were called to Lenape Middle School Tuesday for a "student in crisis," according to information from the Central Bucks School District.
According to a message to the school community, students immediately brought the matter to the attention of school personnel, and emergency first responders were called to transport the student safely to the hospital.
Details on the nature of the incident were not immediately available.

"Our school district counselors have been joined by a team of counselors from other Central Bucks schools to help address this crisis by providing support to our students and staff. Additionally, the Bucks County Intermediate Unit trauma team is on site assisting students and staff at Lenape Middle School," the initial message to the school community said.
"Continual support" was provided to students throughout the day, the district said.

"We anticipate that your children may have concerns when they arrive home from school today. Please don’t hesitate to contact your child’s counselor if your child needs assistance. Lenape Middle School will remain open this evening and have counselors available to provide support for any child or family in need," information from the district said.
