Family Argument Turns Violent In Warrington; Man Charged With Aggravated Assault

At one point during the confrontation, the man grabbed a kitchen knife and charged toward the victim, police said.

WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — A Warrington Township man faces aggravated assault charges after a family argument turned violent on July 1.

Police responded to a home in the 2500 block of Diane's Way at 11:34 p.m. for the report of a domestic disturbance in progress.

Upon arrival, officers encountered multiple family members who described a violent altercation involving 47-year-old Xiangxing He of Warrington.

Police determined that a verbal argument escalated into physical violence when He allegedly confronted a family member and slapped them in the face. Other relatives stepped in to separate the
parties, at which point He reportedly became more aggressive.

According to witnesses, He ran into the kitchen, retrieved a kitchen knife, and charged toward the initial victim. Family members were able to intercept him before he made contact with the weapon. He then put the knife down, but police said he then rushed the same family member again and punched them in the face with a closed fist.

Additionally, during the struggle, another family member reported being bitten by He. Officers observed a fresh bite mark on the individual’s chest consistent with their account.

He was placed under arrest and transported to the station where he was processed. He was arraigned by Judge Jonas who set bail at $50,000 or 10 percent cash. He was not able to post bail and was transported to the Bucks County Correctional Facility.

He is charged with aggravated assault, a felony; simple assault, a misdemeanor; and harassment, a summary offense.
