Firefighters Handle Car Fire In Warrington, Chimney Fire In Buckingham

Midway firefighters responded to a chimney fire in Buckingham while Warrington firefighters handled a car fire on Easton Road.

CENTRAL BUCKS, PA — Firefighters in Central Bucks County extinguished a car fire on Easton Road in Warrington Friday afternoon and handled a chimney fire in Buckingham on Saturday.

The Warrington Fire Company No. 1 responded to a single-vehicle fire on Easton Road late Friday afternoon. Engine 29, Rescue 29 and Rescue 78 responded and quickly extinguished the fire. There were no injuries.

Warrington Township Police were also on the scene.

The vehicle was towed away and PennDOT was notified to salt the roadway due to the cold weather.

On Saturday, Midway firefighters were dispatched for the report of a chimney fire.

Upon arrival, firefighters found an active fire in the flue of a wood stove. Crews removed wood from a firebox and extinguished burning creosote in the chimney.

"Thanks to the stone farmhouse construction there was no extension beyond the chimney," reported firefighters.
