Firefighters Knock Down Fast Moving Brush Fire In Wycombe

As they were returning from a call, members of the Lingohocken Fire Company noticed smoke in the 700 block of Forest Grove Road.

WYCOMBE, PA — Firefighters knocked down a quickly moving brush fire that broke out Sunday afternoon on the border between Buckingham and Wrightstown Townships.

As they were returning from a call, members of the Lingohocken Fire Company noticed smoke in the 700 block of Forest Grove Road. Chief 35 investigated and quickly located a fast moving brush fire with exposures at the rear of a property.

The chief requested the assistance of the Northampton Township Fire Department's Field 3. Lingohocken's Field 35, UTV35 and Tanker 35 responded immediately, arriving on scene about a minute later and quickly went in service.

Chief 35 had Buckingham Command as Field 35, UTV35, Tanker 35, Engine 35, and Field 3 quickly extinguished the fire.

Due to continued dry conditions, firefighters are asking residents to refrain from outside burning until conditions improve.
