Firefighters In Warrington Contain Overnight Fire To Chimney
Warrington Township's Deputy Chief 29 was the first on scene and reported heavy fire from the chimney stack.

WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Firefighters from Warrington and the surrounding area quickly knocked down a chimney fire Monday night in the 2200 block of Fir Court.
Warrington Township's Deputy Chief 29 was the first on scene and reported heavy fire from the chimney stack. Engine 29 arrived and secured a water supply and stretched a handline to begin extinguishment.
Warrington Chief 29 arrived and established command at 8:29 p.m.

Tower 29 extended to the roof to begin opening up the area around the chimney. And Rescue 66 from Warwick stretched a dry line to the second floor of the dwelling.
Captain 29 was able to access the attic and reported to command that there was no extension into the attic.

Engine 78 and Tower 29 worked the scene with ground ladders and overhaul on the roof.
The fire was quickly placed under control with crews holding the fire to the area of the chimney.
The Warrington Township Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
