Former Central Bucks Superintendent Lands New Job In NC
John Kopicki resigned his position in early April. The Central Bucks board is set to name Abram Lucabaugh as his permanent replacement.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — Four months after resigning his position as Central Buck School District superintendent, John Kopicki has found a new job.
Kopicki was chosen last week as the new superintendent for Cabarrus County Schools in North Carolina, located in the northern suburbs of Charlotte. The district’s board of education lauded Kopicki’s “experience, leadership and dedication to students” in an announcement of his hire, effective Aug 16.
Kopicki stepped down from his leadership role at Central Bucks on April 2, but no reason was given for his sudden departure. He joined Central Bucks in 2016 after serving as superintendent for the Altoona Area School District.
