Get Your Free Pretzel on Friday!

Sometimes it pays to be the early bird. 

Take Friday for instance. The Philly Soft Pretzel Factory stores in Chalfont and Lahaska is giving away free pretzels all day to celebrate National Pretzel Day. But, if you're one of the first 100 in the door of one of the locations, you will receive a card for one free pretzel each day for the month of May.

In all, the company expects to give away between 35,000 and 40,000 pretzels systemwide, according to Spokeswoman Carly Levison. It will take approximately 10,000 pounds of flour to make those pretzels, she said.

Last year, the company's franchises gave out a combined 30,000 to 35,000 pretzels, Levison said.  

Will you be first in line at Philly Soft Pretzel Factory for a free pretzel on Friday? The stores, located at 205 E. Butler Ave. in Chalfont and 5742 Lower York Road in Lahaska, will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
