Ground Broken On 50 New Apartments in New Britain

When completed, 50 new apartments will be added to the existing building at Butler Square.

NEW BRITAIN, PA —Fifty additional apartments are coming to Butler Square in New Britain Township.

Berger Rental Communities and D&B Construction broke ground on June 8 on a new 55,000 square foot addition at the former “The Gathering at University Place.” Phase one at "The Gathering" was completed in 2020. Berger then purchased phase one and the land for phase two from the previous developer in the summer of 2021.

When completed, 50 new apartments will be added to the existing building, which will include smart home technology such as locks and thermostats. Other features include a package room and electric vehicle charging stations.

The community already features on-site retail, a fitness center, walking/biking trails, cabana and grill areas, storage, and elevators.

Berger offers all of its residents professional management and maintenance services, and an extreme level of renter flexibility, including allowing residents to transfer between apartments or communities at any time in their lease, fee-free, as well as allowing no-cost lease breaks if a resident wishes to purchase a house.
