Highway Projects To Impact Traffic In Central And Upper Bucks Co.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Motorists are advised of the following road construction projects in Upper and Central Bucks County.
Pipe Replacement In Plumstead
- Pipe replacement and base repair is planned on Point Pleasant Pike in Plumstead Township between Route 413 (Durham Road) and Route 32 (River Road) from Monday, July 28 through Wednesday, August 6. Base repair work is scheduled from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Route 413 (Durham Road), Stump Road, and Tohickon Hill Road.
Base Repair Work In Chalfont, New Britain Twp.
- Base repair is planned on Railroad and Sunset avenues between Route 152 (Main Street) and Barry Road in Chalfont Borough and New Britain Township from Monday, August 4 through Friday, August 8 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Barry Road, New Galena Road, and Route 152 (Limekiln Pike).
Pipe Replacement On Route 309 In Quakertown
- A pipe replacement project will close a section of northbound Route 309 (West End Boulevard) in Quakertown Borough and Richland Township under a $15.9 million project to upgrade stormwater management facilities on more than 90 state highways across the five-county Philadelphia region. Work will take place from Monday, August 4 to Friday, August 8. Northbound Route 309 (West End Boulevard) will be closed and detoured between Route 313 (Broad Street) and Sunshine Drive. Northbound Route 309 (West End Boulevard) motorists will be directed to use Route 313 (Broad Street), California Road, and Pumping Station Road.
Nearby Projects: Business 202 In Montgomery Co.
- Intelligent Transportation Systems will be installed on Business U.S. 202 in Montgomery County. A lane closure will be in place on southbound Business U.S. 202 (Dekalb Pike) between Knapp Road and Gwynmont Drive in Montgomery Township from Monday, July 28 to Thursday, July 31. Work will be done overnight from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Motorists should allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather-dependent. The work is being done as part of PennDOT’s I-95 Section GR8 project to install and update ITS equipment across regional highways.
