Highway Projects Scheduled In Central And Upper Bucks Co.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Motorists are advised of the following road and utility projects in Upper and Central Bucks County.

Emergency Water Main Repairs

  • The Doylestown Borough Water Department will be conducting emergency water main repairs on Monday, August 4, on Atkinson Drive between Veterans Lane and N. Broad Street (near the entrances to the Doylestown Beer Authority and the car wash). Atkinson will be closed to all traffic from Veterans Lane. Access to the U.S. Post Office and CHOP will remain available via N. Broad Street.

Road Resurfacing On Route 413

  • The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will be resurfacing and repairing pavement on Route 413 (Durham Road) in Bedminster, Buckingham, and Plumstead townships. Work is scheduled to take place Monday, Aug. 4, through Friday, Aug. 8, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. A weekday lane closure with flagging will be in place on Route 413 (Durham Road) between Dark Hollow Road and U.S. 202 for base repair, milling, paving, and utility construction. Under this resurfacing and improvement project, PennDOT’s contractors will be repairing, milling, and repaving the highway with new asphalt pavement that will seal roadways and provide motorists with a safer and smoother riding surface. Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather-dependent.

Pipe Replacement In Plumstead

  • Pipe replacement and base repair is planned on Point Pleasant Pike in Plumstead Township between Route 413 (Durham Road) and Route 32 (River Road) from Monday, July 28 through Wednesday, August 6. Base repair work is scheduled from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Route 413 (Durham Road), Stump Road, and Tohickon Hill Road.

Base Repair Work In Chalfont, New Britain Twp.

  • Base road repair is planned on Railroad and Sunset avenues between Route 152 (Main Street) and Barry Road in Chalfont Borough and New Britain Township from Monday, August 4 to Friday, August 8 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Barry Road, New Galena Road, and Route 152 (Limekiln Pike).

Pipe Replacement In Bedminster And Tinicum

  • A pipe replacement project will close Fretz Valley Road/Creamery Road in Bedminster and Tinicum townships this week. Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction: From Monday, Aug. 4 to Friday, Aug. 8, Fretz Valley Road/Creamery Road will be closed during the day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. between Kellers Church and Park roads. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Kellers Church Road, Ridge Road/South Park Road, and Park Road. Local access will be maintained. Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather-dependent.

Route 309 Pipe Replacement In Quakertown

  • A pipe replacement project will close a section of northbound Route 309 (West End Boulevard) in Quakertown Borough and Richland Township under a $15.9 million project to upgrade stormwater management facilities on more than 90 state highways across the five-county Philadelphia region. Work will take place from Monday, August 4 to Friday, August 8. Northbound Route 309 (West End Boulevard) will be closed and detoured between Route 313 (Broad Street) and Sunshine Drive. Northbound Route 309 (West End Boulevard) motorists will be directed to use Route 313 (Broad Street), California Road, and Pumping Station Road.
