Icy Roads Cause Dozens Of Crashes In Warrington Township

Police said 911 calls came in from all across the township for about two hours straight for cars that had slid off roadways.

WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Warrington Police investigated around a dozen crashes Monday morning due to icy road conditions.

The first accident came in around 6:30 a.m. on the Route 202 Parkway at Pickertown Road and the last one came in around 8:30 a.m. on Bristol Road at Valley Road. The most reported accidents occurred on Lower State Road.

At one point, police shut down Lower State between County Line and Pickertown Road because of the severe icing conditions. It was reopened around 9 a.m. as temperatures climbed above freezing.

Police officers also assisted multiple motorists whose cars slid off roadways and were stuck in ditches.
