Driver Flips Car On Stump Road, Flees Scene: Plumstead Crime Report
In other reports, officers investigated a scam and arrested drivers from Warrington and Plumstead on DUI charges.
PLUMSTEAD TOWNSHIP, PA — The Plumstead Township Police Department reported the following incidents and arrests between March 12 and 15:
March 12
- At 11:23 p.m., officers responded to a vehicle accident in the area of Stump Rd. Upon arrival, they found a vehicle flipped over, but the driver had fled the scene. Officers obtained video footage of the driver and the direction they fled. The individual was later located and transported to the hospital for injuries. Charges are pending blood test results.

- At 7:12 p.m., officers received a call regarding a potential scam. The complainant reported purchasing phones through Xfinity and successfully delivering them. Later, they received a call from an individual claiming to be an Xfinity representative, stating there was an issue with the order and providing specific directions. After shipping the phones, the complainant contacted Xfinity and discovered there was no issue with the order. Officers provided the complainant with a report number to file a claim.
- At 10:26 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Easton Road for a vehicle with no registration. Upon speaking with the driver, officers noticed signs of impairment, glassy, bloodshot eyes, and the smell of alcohol on their breath. The driver failed to perform a field sobriety test successfully and blew over the legal limit on a breathalyzer. The 51-year-old man from Warrington was placed under arrest for Driving Under the Influence. Charges are pending blood alcohol results.
March 15
- At 1:07 a.m., officers monitoring traffic in the area of Swamp Road noticed a vehicle with a rear brake light out. After stopping the vehicle, officers observed the driver's fine motor skills were delayed, and they had glassy, bloodshot eyes, slurred speech, and the smell of alcohol on their person. The driver failed to perform a field sobriety test successfully and blew over the legal limit on a breathalyzer. The 50-year-old Plumstead was placed under arrest for Driving Under the Influence. Charges are pending blood alcohol results.
