Juveniles May Have Been Playing 'Senior Assassin' In Warwick: Police

Law enforcement is looking for additional video that might show what juveniles were doing Monday night on Brook Lane.

WARWICK TOWNSHIP, PA — Police are looking for video footage that might show what juveniles were doing Tuesday evening just after 5 p.m. in the 1400 block of Brook Lane.

Police were called to the area following a report of a juvenile who might have a gun. A witness told police they had noticed two young teens, thought to be in their late middle school or early high school years, chasing another juvenile with something that looked like a firearm.

Police said a video from the area shows juveniles nearby, but it didn't capture the incident as reported by the witness. "We encourage anyone with additional information or footage to contact police," police said.

Although not yet confirmed, police said the incident might relate to a game known as "Senior Assassin." In this game, participants pretend to "assassinate" one another using harmless items like water pistols, with the goal of being the last player standing.

While the game is intended to be fun, police said it can sometimes lead to misunderstandings and safety concerns. "Participants might mistakenly cross boundaries in their excitement to win, engaging in risky behavior such as trespassing or stalking. The competitive aspect could also cause unnecessary stress as players try to avoid being tagged."

Additionally, police said in public spaces, the game's actions might be misinterpreted by others, potentially causing concern. "While 'Senior Assassin' can be an enjoyable activity, it's important to play with caution and clear guidance to avoid unintended issues," police said.
