Latest Road Conditions, Cancellations In Bucks County
Police reporting snow covered, slippery roads. Bucks County courts closed today.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — Police throughout Bucks County report snow covered and slippery conditions on area roadways. They are urging motorists to stay home today. If they need to go out, the should take their time and allow for plenty of stopping distance.
In addition to school closures throughout the county, there are a number of snow cancellations to pass along.

- The Bucks County Justice Center and all Bucks County courts will be closed Friday, Jan. 19, due to the snow. All scheduled court proceedings, including those scheduled at any Bucks County Magisterial District Court, are postponed. Jurors should not report to the Justice Center. All other Bucks County government offices will be open. Employees who can telework are encouraged to do so.
DART Service Cancelled In Doylestown
- Due to the snow, Doylestown Dart, Dart West, Dart South, and Courthouse Shuttle service has been suspended for Friday, Jan. 19.

- Warwick Township Police reported via X that Mearns Road is closed between Sycamore and Campus Drive this morning. A snow plow struck a PECO pole and wires are down, police said. PECO is responding to the area. Police are asking motorists to avoid the area.
- Newtown Township Police report that roads are snow covered and slick. "If you need to drive today, give yourself extra time to get to your destination and give yourself plenty of stopping distance," police said.
- Police in New Britain Township are reporting snow covered and slippery roads. "We encourage everyone to stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary. If you need to drive, drive slowly, don't follow too closely and give yourself plenty of distance to stop," said police. Police report that road crews are out doing the best they can to keep up with the snowfall.
- Solebury Township Police recommend that motorists allow six car lengths when traveling behind an operating snow plow. Some winter driving tips include: increase following distance, drive in the lane that's been most recently plowed and avoid changing lanes unless necessary, when driving up and down hills observe how other vehicles are reacting and maintain safe distance, do not use cruise control, steer and brake with smooth, careful and precise movements rather than quick, jerky motions and take extra care when driving on shaded spots, bridges, overpasses and intersections.
