Lawmaker Joins 'Read Across America' At New Britain School
State Rep. Brian Munroe shares the Dr. Seuss classic, "Green Eggs and Ham," with kindergarten students at Butler Elementary.

NEW BRITAIN, PA — In celebration of Read Across America Day, State Rep. Brian Munroe visited Simon Butler Elementary School in New Britain on Monday where he read the Dr. Seuss classic book, "Green Eggs and Ham" to two kindergarten classes.
"I had a wonderful time, and I’d like to express my gratitude towards the teachers, staff, and the extremely well-behaved students for letting me join them today," said Munroe.
"To quote Dr. Seuss, 'The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more you learn, the more places you’ll go!”

"Read Across America Day" is a national day dedicated to celebrating reading, typically observed on March 2nd, which coincides with Dr. Seuss's birthday, and is organized by the National Education Association (NEA) to encourage children and young adults to develop a love for reading
through various activities and events across the country.
