Lower State Road To Close For Pipe Replacement In Doylestown

​Lower State Road will be closed and detoured between Almshouse Road and Bristol Road in Doylestown Township starting next week.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — Lower State Road will be closed and detoured between Almshouse Road and Bristol Road in Doylestown Township during the week of Thanksgiving.

The closure begins Monday, Nov. 23, through Friday, Nov. 27, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m, as Bucks County maintenance crews replace a pipe, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said in a news release.

Drivers on Lower State Road will be directed to use Route 202 and Bristol Road. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

"Work on this operation will be in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and state Department of Health guidance as well as a project-specific COVID-19 safety plan, which will include protocols for social distancing, use of face coverings, personal and job-site cleaning protocols, management of entries to the jobsite, special signing, and relevant training," the news release said.
